Volunteer at Our Plots

We welcome volunteers at all our plots. Check out our calendar of upcoming events to get involved. To be prepared for our workdays please consider the following recommendations:

  • Wear closed-toe shoes, layers, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty

  • Hats and sun protection are highly recommended

  • Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves

  • Please bring a reusable water bottle and snacks to keep yourself fueled

Bonus: download the iNaturalist app on your phone and help us make observations. All our plots are iNat projects which you can view under Test Plot Umbrella. Please join our projects and add to the observations so that we can continue document the diversity of flora and fauna.

Community Planting Day at Jefferson Test Plot

PLEASE NOTE NEW TIME! 4:30-7pm Due to the excessive heat warning we've decided to push our community planting day back a few hours to 4:30-7pm on Saturday March 14th (formerly 2-5pm). We understand that some of you may no longer be able to attend and we apologize for the last minute time change. We want to prioritize the comfort and safety of our community. Hope to see you out there. There will be California native plants, good vibes and pupusas! It will still be warm so please bring a hat and water. Hope to see you.

Moving forward, there are many ways to stay involved. We'll be sending out information soon about weekly watering to help our garden get established.

Best, Jefferson Test Plot team
